For over 25 years, Willowtail Springs Nature Preserve and Education Center has been referred to as Colorado’s best kept secret. Willowtail is 100% non-profit organization which supports residencies in the Arts and Ecology, open to public as vacation rental and retreat destination.

Nestled on 60-acres, just five miles out of Mancos, Peggy and Lee Cloy have created and stewarded a facility with 3 charming cabins, a working studio, a private lake, ancient forest, majestic lush gardens, an enormous variety of birds and other wildlife in their diverse, beautiful refuge.

Cabins have fully equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, antique furniture, library, original art works and much more. Hot tub, canoes and fishing gear are available.

We offer residencies with full or partial scholarship support, plus self-funded residencies and retreats.
